TOPS Liaison/Network Representative

The chapter TOPS Liaison/Network Representative serves as primary point of contact in the chapter for MOAA members and their spouses who are in the process of relocating to the chapter’s geographic area and, provide support to  active duty service members who are ending their active duty commitment and relocating from the active duty geographic area to another location.

Assistance to retiring and/or transitioning service members is completed through coordination with TOPS Liaisons in the local are to where the service member is relocating. Chapter representation in several local veteran agencies and organizations dedicated to assisting service members in transition effectively helps to fulfill this objective. Over the last 2 years the chapter has been successful in assisting more than 35 service members in their job search process.

The objective of the TOPS program is accomplished by working with other TOPS Liaisons throughout the country. A large number of chapters have TOPS Liaisons/Network Representative.

MOAA annually presents “Marketing Yourself for a Second Career” at military installations in California. The Chapter TOPS Representative attends these presentations. Attendance is listed as one of the representative priority responsibilities.
